Candlemas-Imbolc Ritual at Mountain Temple Center.  Imbolc, or the Festival of Brigid, celebrates the growing strength of the God, still in His child form, as well as the return of the Maiden aspect of the Goddess. As their strength and light grow, we grow with them. It is a holiday of light and inspiration, a time when our path becomes more fixed, and the seeds that will grow later begin to stir within us. The Irish celebration of this festival was dedicated to the Goddess Brigid, a triple Goddess who represented inspiration, muse, healing, and the arts. Aug 2 (Saturday) Burning Man Lammas Ritual at Mountain Temple. This is the ninth time the temple has had a ritual with political satire. With the taking away of personal rights and freedoms and all of the forced religious overtones of the current administration the temple thought it only fair that this year's recipient of this Burning Man Ritual will be current administration as we say GOODBYE TO THE INSANITY and the police state that has been created. All are welcome to stuff the straw man with any and all messages you want to send. The event will end with a symbolic burning of the effigy.

Dr. Christopher Hyatt 1943-2008

Mountain Temple Center would like to acknowledge the recent death of Dr. Christopher Hyatt, international head of our Order and initiator of Michael Crowley into the Golden Dawn. Dr. Hyatt was author and editor of numerous books on magick and the occult and was a longtime associate of Mountain Temple.
