Jan 30 (Saturday) Candlemas / Imbolc at Mountain Temple. Feast to celebrate the return of light, focusing on the Triple Celtic Goddess of Rebirth. Imbolc, or the Festival of Brigid, celebrates the growing strength of the God still in his child form, as well as the return of the Maiden aspect of the Goddess. As their strength and light grow, we grow with them. It is a holiday of light and inspiration, a time when our path becomes more fixed and the seeds that will grow later begin to stir within us. Gathering to begin around 7pm, ritual at 9pm.

Ritual Event at Mountain Center:

August 1 (Saturday) Burning Man Lammas Festival.   This is the tenth year the temple has had a ritual with political satire.  With the taking away of personal rights and freedoms over the years the temple thought it only fair that this year's recipient of this Burning Man Ritual will be the current administration as we say "SHUT UP AND PUT UP TO THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION" in reguard to the police state that has been created.  All are welcome to stuff the straw man with any and all messages you want to send.  The event will end with a symbolic burning of the effigy.  Gathering begins around 7pm, ritual to start at 9pm. Age 18+ and $5 donation requested.

Ritual Event:

June 20 (Saturday).  Summer Fusion Solstice Ritual at Mountain Temple Center.  The focus will be on a ritual celebrating the longest day of the year.  The ritual will be a fusion of several different spiritual practices working together. It will be focusing on the polarity of fire and water, male and female, with the fusion and diversity of spirituality being the main themes.  A smoke cloud will be created with a cannon and an exploding water balloon fight will finish the ritual.  Clothing optional.  There will be mud body painting, water balloons, and hot tubbing.  Following the ritual there will be a cold food pot luck (fruits, veggies, cold cuts etc.) and you are requested to BYO Beverage.  Gathering begins around 7pm, ritual to start at 9pm.   Age 18+ and $5 donation requested.

Dr. Christopher Hyatt 1943-2008

Mountain Temple Center would like to acknowledge the recent death of Dr. Christopher Hyatt, international head of our Order and initiator of Michael Crowley into the Golden Dawn. Dr. Hyatt was author and editor of numerous books on magick and the occult and was a longtime associate of Mountain Temple.

Celebrate Yule at Mountain Temple Center

Discover the true paganic origins of our traditional wintertime holidays by joining Mountain Temple in a Yule Fest celebration on Saturday, December 22. This ancient festival to recognize the longest night of the year will feature a mythic ritual and offerings to the gods and ancestors. We will be making personal wooden ornaments as a gift to honor the annual rebirth of the sun. There will be a bonfire, potluck, and hot tubbing.

This will be a clothing optional event and limited to adults 18 years and up. Please bring food or beverage to share. A $5 donation to help cover costs is requested.
